Description
Geotoolkit is a fork of GeoTools. Consequently portions of GeoTools code will be ported to Geotoolkit. The modules listed below were written mostly by the Geotoolkit authors and are expected to be ported:
- Metadata
- Referencing
- Various EPSG plugins
- Coverage
- Coverage I/O (the module, not the plugins)
- Swing widgets (including the pending ones)
- OpenOffice add-in
- Legacy statefull renderer (GeoTools 2.1)
Modules written by external developers that will be considered are:
- Shapefile reader
- GeoTtiff reader
- ... other modules to be determined...
Most of the needed code has been ported. The dependencies toward the "Modified GeoTools" clone of the GeoTools repository (the modules begining with the gtm- or gts- prefix) have been removed, and the "Modified GeoTools" code repository is no longuer maintained - it will be deleted.
